Halifax Regional Police are asking for your help trying to find the person, or people, responsible for vandalizing an irreplaceable plaque outside the Cornwallis United Baptist Church.
Police say someone carved a racial slur into the historical plaque sometime between 4:30 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
Community Response Officers are canvassing the area today, looking to speak with anyone who may have observed any suspicious activity around that location on Saturday night.
If you saw anything suspicious in the area, you’re asked to call police or Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or texting a tip – Tip 202 + your message to 274637.
