The Department of Labour is investigating a work-site accident which has sent a man to hospital in Halifax Friday.

Emergency crews were called to the 300-block of Larry Uteck Boulevard at about 7:51 a.m. for a report of an industrial accident.

“A man fell approximately 20 feet from some staging onto the roof of a building that was under construction,” Const. Brian Palmeter told News 95.7.

The man is described as being in his 20s.

Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency crews helped retrieve the man from the roof and bring him down to the ground.

“He was subsequently taken to hospital with undetermined injuries but we do know that officers were speaking to him at the scene,” said Palmeter.
