Drivers in Nova Scotia will pay more for gas this week, but the increase is relatively small.

Regulated gas prices have climbed by a penny a litre, to a new minimum of $1.341 IN METRO.

Diesel prices have also risen, by nearly four cents a litre, to a new minimum of $1.323 in metro. That will add an extra $1.85 to the cost of a 50-litre fillup.

At this time last year, gas was selling for $1.22, and diesel for $1.20. Oil was selling for $85.38 U.S. a barrel, well below Thursday’s close of $95.60.
