A man is dead after he was assaulted in the club district in Halifax early Saturday morning.
The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Kaylin Todd Diggs of Halifax.
Constable Brian Palmeter tells News 95.7 that just before 4 a.m., the victim was walking south on Argyle Street near Sackville Street when an altercation happened.
“At this point it’s not exactly clear what took place, but we do know the incident took place in the street,” he explains. “We’re in the process of interviewing witness and doing a canvas of the businesses and trying to figure out what took place.”
An autopsy was scheduled for Saturday, but at this point his death is being investigated as a homicide.
