The victim of the latest sexual attack in Metro is a 16 year-old girl from Dartmouth. Halifax Police say the girl was assaulted while walking through the Dartmouth Common around 10:30 Saturday night.
The information about the assault, however, was only made public on Wednesday.
Investigators say the girl began to quicken her pace when she was approached by a man who gave her cause for concern. The man then grabbed her, pushed her down and began touching her in a sexual manner.
The victim screamed and fought back and the suspect ran towards Alderney Drive.
The suspect is described as a white man, 25 to 30 years old, about 5 foot 10 with a medium build and light coloured, buzzed hair.
Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crimestoppers.
