The city is reminding residents that the open air burning ban prohibiting all outdoor fires remains in effect.

All HRM burning permits for areas within the municipality are cancelled.

No open fires are permitted including those in approved outdoor solid fuel burning appliances. This ban does not include the use of propane or charcoal barbecues.
