Military Police investigated the discovery of what they’re calling a “suspicious package” in the general parking lot at the CFB Halifax dockyard Wednesday. A source on the scene told  News95.7 it appeared to be a suitcase under a car.

Halifax Regional Police were called in to handle traffic. They closed Barrington Street is between North and Cornwallis.

Workers at the dockyard were being kept on-site.

Barrington Street and associated ramps at the MacDonald Bridge were closed until about 1:50pm.
