Medical examiners are working to determine what caused the death of a Dartmouth scuba diver.

The 36-year-old man set out with a group of about 10 divers yesterday off Fox Point beach, near Hubbards NS.

Shortly after the group returned to shore without the man, he was reported missing.

The 911 call came in around 1 p.m. Saturday. RCMP, the Canadian Coast Guard, rescue and fire crews responded.

The Coast Guard found his body about an hour later.

The medical examiner’s office is investigating; at this point it’s unknown if he had a medical condition, or if his diving equipment failed him.
