Police took two handguns off the street on the night shift.
Officers stopped a vehicle they had suspicions about on Pinecrest Drive in Dartmouth shortly before 6pm.
They took three adults into custody, and one of them had a loaded handgun. He’ll be in court this morning on nine weapons charges and a probation breach.
A complaint about kids drinking in the woods sent patrol officers to the north end of Bell Lake in Dartmouth around 11pm.
One of them tried to dodge the responding officers and was detained nearby.
He had an unloaded handgun in his backpack. He was also familiar with police — he’s charged today with breaching an undertaking and four weapons offences.
