Companies say municipal regulations are constantly changing, making it nearly impossible to get projects up and running in some jurisdictions.
In one instance a county approved a wind energy bylaw so a developer could build, only to rescind the bylaw before another developer could because locals weren’t happy.
The premier says a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work and it’s best to let the municipalities make their own decisions, even if those decisions continue to change.
