A man is in custody after an early morning attack in the Spryfield area Saturday.
At around 6 a.m. police responded to an assault call in the 0-100 block of Cobalt Walk.
When they got there, they found a 20-year-old who had been hit in the head with a baseball bat.
He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The 18-year-old suspect had fled scene but he was quickly identified and arrested.
He faces assault charges.
