A Nova Scotia man is making history today as he takes over as president of the College of Registered Nurses.
Peter MacDougall is the first man to hold the position since the college was founded in 1910.
MacDougall is originally from Cape Breton, but has spent the last seven years working in palliative care and thoracic surgery in Halifax.
He’s already completed a term as president-elect of the college.
