Halifax police searched a wooded area in the city’s north end Friday, acting on new information in a two-year-old killing.
Canine patrol units and forensic investigators scoured a piece of property between Union Street and Devonshire Avenue in the hopes of finding clues to Ryan Matthew White’s murder.
White was shot just off Jarvis Lane in late July 2010.
The 21-year-old was hit in the chest and died the next day in hospital.
Const. Brian Palmeter would not disclose what police hoped to find Friday, nor would he say whether any evidence was retrieved during the search.
