Halifax Regional Police say the 68-year-old man who was struck by a vehicle in a Dartmouth crosswalk Sunday night has died.

The man was crossing Victoria Road in a marked crosswalk around 6:50 p.m. Sunday evening when he was struck by a vehicle turning left off Albro Lake Road on to Victoria Road.

He was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries where he died Monday night.

The driver of the vehicle was issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, and police do not anticipate any additional charges to be laid.
