If you are holding a garage sale this weekend, you might want to check the Health Canada website to ensure you are in compliance.

The federal agency reminds everybody holding a garage sale is legally responsible for ensuring products being sold — whether new or used — are safe and meet regulatory requirements.

They warn if you are selling lawn darts, corded blinds, toys with magnets or any product that has been recalled you are breaking the law.

They also remind people that any used electronics for sale have to include the instructions for safe use.
