No one hurt after shooting in North Preston

RCMP are looking for a suspect after a shooting in North Preston overnight.

Staff Sgt. Peter Ferguson tells News 95.7, an anonymous tipster called 911 around 11:45 p.m. Monday to report a shooting at a home on Cain Street.

“It appears that several shots were fired at the residence, we believe three in total,” he said. “All occupants of the residence at the time were asleep and nobody was struck by any of the bullets.

Major crime investigators and a Halifax Regional Police K9 unit responded, but so far there’s been no arrests.

Ferguson says the police dog wasn’t able to pick up a track because of heavy foot traffic in the area.

He says the house has been the target of violence before.
