The search for a missing fisherman has been suspended until Thursday.

“The search for Brent Walton has been suspended for 48 hours due to high wind and has been scheduled to resume Thursday morning,” explains Sgt. Brigdit Leger.

Walton has been missing since the boat he and a friend were in capsized on Level Spot Lake, next to Lake Charlotte, northeast of Musquodoboit Harbour, Friday.

The friend swam to shore but Walton was not found.

Searches on Friday and Saturday turned up nothing and bad weather prevented RCMP from searching Sunday and Monday.

Leger tells News 95.7 it is still very much an open investigation.

“We’re still conducting a missing person investigation and our current focus is Level Spot Lake which is the last place Mr. Walton was seen,” she says.
