Two men injured in overnight shootings

Two men are in hospital after two shootings overnight, one on each side of the harbour.
Halifax Regional Police say residents in the Churchill Court area of Dartmouth called police after hearing gunshots around 9:26 p.m.
Witnesses reported seeing a car and pickup truck speeding away from the scene and police found several bullet casings in a nearby parking lot.
About 15 minutes later, officials at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre reported two men with gunshot wounds were in the Emergency Room.
A release from police says two men in their early 20s were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police there is no description yet of a suspect.
In the second shooting incident, police were called to the 200 block of Ross Street in Halifax, just after midnight when area residents reported hearing several gunshots.
Officers found bullet casings and holes in two unoccupied vehicles. So far, no victims have been found.
