Tom Petty tickets expected to go fast

The promoter behind next year’s Tom Petty concert at the Metro Centre says he expects a fast sellout.
Tickets for the May 31 show go on sale Wednesday at 9 a.m. and are available from Ticket Atlantic’s website. Prices range from $103 to $206.50.
Promoter David Carver tells Metro Halifax he expects they’ll sell out in a couple of hours, if it takes even that long.
The prices are higher than for the June 3 show in St. John’sm Nfld. Those tickets sold out in minutes on the weekend.
Carver says it’s expensive to bring a band to Atlantic Canada because the artists only work so many days a week, and travel usually takes a day or two.
